Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins (1999-Present)

The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the American Hockey League are the top minor-league affiliate of the NHL’s Pittsburgh Penguins. The team played its first game at the Northeastern Pennsylvania Civic Arena and Convention Center (now known as Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza) on November 13, 1999, defeating the Kentucky Thoroughblades.

Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Shamrocks

The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Shamrocks begin their inaugural season in the North American Lacrosse League in 2012.

The ownership group consists of Joe Deluca, Jim Jennings, John "Jack" Manzella, Aaron Musselman, Anthony "Chip" Santye, Ron Costello and Tom Cataldo. Jennings serves as the team's President.
