ALAN JACKSON'S FREIGHT TRAIN TOUR comes right on the heels of the release of his March 30th album FREIGHT TRAIN, which includes eight Jackson original songs plus four more, including “It's Just That Way,” the first single, and a duet with Lee Ann Womack on the Vern Gosdin classic, “Till the End.”
When asked about the title track Jackson said, “It sounded different and just kind of stuck out. I guess when you really think about it, man, we've been rolling along here for a lot of years, just going like a freight train.”
Jackson will launch the album with March 30th appearances on Today and the Late Show with David Letterman, an April l4th appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and an April l5th appearance on Ellen, his first on that show.
Alan Jackson is one of the most successful and respected songwriter/performers in music. His career has spanned 20 years, netted 50 million album sales and met with consistent critical acclaim. Jackson's most recent collection, Good Time, became the fourth album of his career to debut simultaneously at No. 1 on Billboard's Top Country Albums and all-genre Billboard 200 sales charts and netted three No. 1 hits.
